The pore doesn't widen. The frame around it loosens.

I'll show you what makes it look large, and exactly what data exists on it. All three numbers, along with what each one actually measures.

Research C Mechanism only
  • There's no clean clinical number here.
  • The mechanism is plausible, but that alone isn't proof.

What it's good for, and what it isn't

Skin texture, the appearance of pores: the mechanism is defensible, several trials show improvement.

The big number (41.7%): comes from a clinical MN-RF device. A more modest effect at home is realistic.

Making pores disappear: the opening remains, anatomically.

Active, inflamed acne: we do NOT stamp on this. Treat it first.

Only start if you can take sun protection seriously. Because of the fresh microchannels, the skin is temporarily more sun-sensitive: no direct sun or tanning bed for 24 hours after treatment, and after that, a high-factor (at least SPF 30) sunscreen every day, especially in the days following treatment. UV breaks down collagen and can cause pigmentation, so without sun protection, UV can undo what needling started.

The opening doesn't grow, the frame around it loosens

loose collagen frame sebum plug ! What you see the frame loosens, the plug pushes tighter frame What the needle does new collagen around the opening the opening stays anatomically the same, its appearance changes

The pore is the opening of the sebaceous gland. Anatomically it doesn't widen, the collagen frame around it loosens, and the sebum plug pushes it out from inside.

More details

Three causes together: (1) the dermis's collagen and elastin network gives way, so the firmness around the opening is lost; (2) the full sebaceous gland channel widens the opening from inside; (3) the epidermis thins (age, UV), so the "frame" is weaker.

A pore-tightening toner doesn't affect the first one, it only temporarily tightens the surface.

What data exists on it, and what each one measures

WHAT DATA EXISTS. AND WHAT IT ACTUALLY MEASURES ! n = 30 · botox both arms received botox, not microneedling data PMC12169069 · the "pore RCT" isn’t about microneedling ~ 41,7% fractional MN-RF, clinical RF device pore diameter, histology · radiofrequency device ~ 23,9% vs 6,8% vitamin C + microneedling vs microneedling ONLY PMC12912124 · n=31, blinded, the microneedling-only arm improved too

Three numbers circulate about pores. What each measures, and which counts as evidence.

More details

The "pore RCT" (PMC12169069, n=30): both arms of the trial received botulinum toxin injections (intradermal vs. delivered via microneedling). There was no significant difference between the two methods, meaning this is about delivering botox, not about whether microneedling on its own tightens the pore.

41.7%: histological pore-diameter reduction with a fractional MN-RF (radiofrequency) device, a stronger, clinical intervention.

23.9% vs 6.8%: a double-blind, split-face trial (PMC12912124, n=31): the vitamin C side improved far more, but the needling-only side improved too, modestly. This is the clearest sign that needling on its own does something for texture.

Will it scar my skin?

MANY TINY, SEPARATE healthy skin stays between them ✓ regenerates CONTINUOUS, DEEP no healthy island left ✕ scar

The needle makes many tiny, separate punctures: intact skin remains between them, and regeneration starts from there, which lets it heal without scarring. Linear, "tram-track"-like scars come from sideways movement (dragging), and the stamp rules that out exactly: one press, one lift, no dragging.

More details

The dermaroller drags by nature: it rotates, goes in and out at an angle, that's the "tram-track scar". The motorized pen is a vertical device, but it runs continuously: if you drag it across the skin instead of lifting between two points, a linear mark can form there too. That's user error, but an easy one to make. The handheld stamp works without a motor or rotation, at a fixed 1 mm, in a single motion: there's nothing to get wrong about the movement. That's why, for home use in an untrained hand, this is the most controllable, hardest-to-mess-up form, you stay in control the whole time. The remaining risk is excess pressure (especially over bony areas), so don't push it in with force, and don't go above 1 mm.

What the needle does in the skinThe cross-section + the collagen-maturation timeline
Epidermis Dermis, this is where the collagen is Subcutis new collagen

The needle reaches down to the dermis, where the collagen sits. Healing builds new collagen, which can pull the frame back around the pore.

More details

The wound-healing signal (TGF-beta, PDGF, VEGF) activates fibroblasts → a denser dermal matrix around the pore opening.

Tissue remodeling also reshapes the surroundings of the sebaceous gland → a narrower outlet channel, less sebum through the opening. This is what a cream can't do: it acts below the surface.

A patience game: what you see, and when

Day 0puncture dayshealing weeksnew collagen 3-6 momature

New collagen builds up over weeks, and fully matures in 3–6 months. It's slower for pores than for acne scars, which is why sessions are spaced further apart.

How to use it, the full protocolNeedle depth, frequency, what to apply, and what not to
Needle depth

Fixed 1.0 mm, that's all the device does. As a beginner, don't increase the pressure, increase the coverage: fewer sections, slower.

Frequency

Every 14–21 days, regeneration is slower for pores

Before

stop retinol 5–7 days before (our own caution recommendation) · stop AHA/BHA 7 days before

After

Minimal formulas. No active ingredients on the day of treatment: no vitamin C, no niacinamide, no acids. Whatever you put on gets through the microchannels.

Avoid

AHA/BHA for 21 days · do NOT use on active inflamed acne or open comedones

Applying serum after treatment
Aftercare: clean, simple products, the microchannels close within 24 hours

Frequently asked questions

I have active acne, can I use it on my pores?

No. On active, inflamed acne, needling can spread bacteria and worsen the inflammation. The Dermastamp is for non-inflamed, enlarged-looking pores and texture.

With active acne, let a dermatologist tell you when you're ready.

Will it make my pores disappear?

No. The pore is the opening of the sebaceous gland, it remains, anatomically. What can change: the firmness of the frame around it and the sebum plug, in other words its appearance.

Doesn't needling clog my pores?

The needle's microchannels aren't pores, and they don't stay open either: they close in about 24 hours. The redness after treatment isn't an "open pore".

What you apply at that point, though, does get in deeper, which is why clean, simple aftercare (ceramide, hyaluronic acid) matters.

Isn't retinol or a pore-tightening toner enough?

They work at a different level. The toner temporarily tightens the surface. Retinol speeds up shedding and reduces sebum, a good tool, but it doesn't actively stimulate the dermis.

Needling rebuilds the frame at depth. These don't compete: they complement each other, you just need to pause retinol around treatment.

Who this is NOT for

Not with active, inflamed acne. The needle spreads the bacteria around. Let a dermatologist tell you first when you're ready.

The full list of contraindications

Do not use this device if: you're under 18 · there's an open wound, abrasion, burn, or fresh scar in the area · you have active skin inflammation, eczema, psoriasis, or a fungal or bacterial infection there · you have severe acne, or are prone to keloids / abnormal scarring · you have rosacea · you have uncontrolled diabetes · you have a clotting disorder or take blood thinners · you have active cancer, or are receiving chemotherapy or radiation therapy · you have HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, or another serious systemic infection · you're pregnant / breastfeeding (only with medical consultation) · you're allergic to the disinfectant or the cosmetic you plan to use.

And never use it on the eyelids, the thin skin around the eyes, mucous membranes, lips, or any orifice.

What do the studies cited here prove, and what do they NOT prove?

Important: these studies support microneedling as a method, typically with a clinical device (roller, motorized pen, radiofrequency machine), under medical supervision. No study was done with our device, and we don't have a study of our own. We're bringing the mechanism home, as safely as possible: a lot of good effects are possible, but we can't guarantee anything.

The collagen frame around the pore loses firmness year after year, and prevention is easier than restoration. I'm not rushing you: this is simply how it works.

Today you're in a better position than you'll be tomorrow.

I'm training to be a cosmetologist, and I found microneedling because of my own hair loss and skin problems. I want to bring this mechanism home as safely as possible, for you too. I stamp my own scalp weekly, and my face every 2–3 weeks.

What else do I need to buy?
  1. 1Medical alcohol: for disinfectionBefore stamping, the stamp needs to soak in medical alcohol. It's available at any pharmacy, not a big expense, but necessary for hygienic use. I show the process on video in the "Usage on video" section, and I also detail it in the instructions in the box.
  2. 2SPF 50 sunscreen: if you use it on your faceStamped skin is more sensitive to UV radiation, so sunscreen is required. We'll soon have both chemical and mineral sunscreen too. Until then, use your own.
Why is it single-use?
  1. 1This is a manufacturer requirementThe device is registered as single-use (EU-MDR Class I): according to the manufacturer's instructions, one treatment, one person, and after that it can't be cleaned or reused. This is a requirement.
  2. 2Every session is a clean startThis way, you start every treatment with a new device, factory-treated with an electron beam and then disinfected by you before use.
  3. 3Less guesswork at homeYou don't have to wonder how many times you've used it, how clean it stayed, or whether the needles have degraded. One treatment equals one stamp: a simpler, more consistent, more hygienic routine.

The parcel arrived on the third working day after my weekend order 😊 The product matches the description, using it is practically painless, afterwards there is a mild burning feeling and redness. I can report on the effect later, I trust that I have reason to hope. Before use I disinfected not only the stamp but the skin as well, with a spray made specifically for this. I found a face mask as a gift in the parcel, I am really glad about it, thank you!
Special thanks for the detailed description :)
Wishing you much success, kind regards: Edit

Very professional product and seller. After the 4th time, other people noticed too that my skin is much nicer. Thank you!

What to expect?

Does it hurt? What to expect the first time?
Pain zones when microneedling the face, personal experience

Personal experience

Not pleasant, but in my own experience, clearly bearable. On the image I marked how sensitive I found each zone:

  • Green: easiest. Forehead, most of the face.
  • Yellow: noticeable, but comfortable. Around the eyebrows, nose bridge, jaw.
  • Red: more sensitive, but short-lived. Nose, under-eye area, around the mouth. Don't stamp near the eyelid or inner corner of the eye.

In my experience the scalp is less sensitive than the face. The first session feels the most unfamiliar, but based on customer feedback, most people expect it to be worse than it is.

How long does your skin stay red?
Skin before microneedling
Sunday · 21:00Before microneedling
Skin right after microneedling
Sunday · 21:15Right after
Skin the next morning, most of the redness gone
Monday · 7:30Next morning. Most of the redness is gone.

In my experience the redness on the face fades within a few hours, with little trace left by the next morning. In more sensitive zones (nose, around the mouth) it can take a bit longer. On the scalp it's less visible, mostly covered by hair, and settles faster.

Don't wear makeup the next day. Sun protection is required.

What's allowed and what isn't after stamping? →

Personal experience, not a clinical study result. Individual reactions may vary.

What shouldn't you use it for?

Don't use it on irritated, sunburned, actively inflamed, or infected skin. Not recommended for open wounds, active acne, eczema, or psoriasis-affected areas. If you take blood thinners or are under dermatological treatment, check with your doctor.

You'll find the full list of contraindications in the instructions for use that comes with every package. You can review the full risk picture here: Before you buy.

How do you know it's enough? How hard should you press?

It's not about force. Work with vertical, precise motions: straight in, straight out. Go over each area several times to cover the whole zone evenly. The device's 1 mm needle length helps you avoid going deeper than needed.

The goal is even coverage and controlled technique, not force.

When will I get it, and how do I pay?

Cash on delivery too: you pay when the package is in your hands, not in advance. Card payment is also available. Delivery 990 Ft, to a Foxpost parcel locker.

80 GOLD-PLATED STEEL NEEDLES

Medical-grade 304 stainless steel, with a genuine gold coating, the same base material used in surgical instruments. According to independent lab tests (TÜV SÜD, SGS) and the biocompatibility tests mandatory for skin-contact medical devices (EN ISO 10993-1, -5, -10), every value for the needle came in under the limit, and it passed TÜV's heavy-metal migration test (21 metals, including nickel release).
