I'm Marci, the person behind Dermastamp.hu.
I'm training to become a cosmetologist, and I've been microneedling my own skin and scalp for years. This isn't a faceless webshop: my face and my name are behind it, because I stand behind what you read here.
I was recently playing a board game with my grandmother, with the ads from the TV playing in the background. A flood of medications for symptomatic treatment. If your lower back hurts, don't even think about stretching or strengthening your back muscles: just take a painkiller, rub on some ointment. If wrinkles on your face bother you, apply a collagen-boosting, hyaluronic acid "anti-wrinkle" cream. Because the UV damage that built up over decades will be solved by yet another serum between two tanning sessions. Losing your hair? Wash it with this shampoo three times a week and everything is solved. True, hair loss can have hormonal causes, deficiencies, physiological factors, or any combination of these, but no problem: buy it, apply it, and hope for the best.
Everyone is selling the dream routine that will help you become whole and reach your inner glow. If every product told the truth, so much collagen and hair would have grown around us that we wouldn't be able to breathe.
I'm Marci, I started going bald at 16, very early. My acne period was intense, I didn't spare my skin, and my face was left scarred afterward. I sunbathed a lot without sun protection, because I kept hearing from everywhere that my pale skin wasn't healthy. That's why my forehead wrinkles appeared prematurely, and let's not even talk about the permanent, not yet visible DNA damage…
But I'm not the point here: why could this be good for you? At one point, the state of my skin and hair bothered me so much that I started researching everything related to them in depth. That's how I learned that I won't reduce my hair loss with hair vitamins and shampoo, because the problem isn't a biotin deficiency, but the sensitivity of my hair follicles to my own hormones (male pattern baldness). And a tan from sunbathing isn't achievable for everyone, since skin types exist. It's a separate matter that sunbathing doesn't help any skin type (quite the opposite, actually). And yes, the sun does have beneficial effects too: it's good for your mood and your sleep, and vitamin D is essential. But not for the aging of your skin.
What I feel is my mission: to tell the truth without exception in this confusing space. I'm not claiming to know everything, or to be the most well-read person on every topic I cover. I'm currently studying to become a beautician, I'm a third-year university student, I work as an accountant, and every day I try to gather as much knowledge as I can. But: what I share with you in my content, on my page, isn't a promise pulled out of thin air, it's the current state of science, checked regularly. If you look at the product page of my Dermastamp microneedling device, it might seem a bit odd at first: it doesn't try to win you over with empty promises and nice-sounding fluff. Quite the opposite: with what we know about microneedling. What evidence supports this mechanism, who it can help (and who it can't), and what the limits of home use are, with a complete list of contraindications.
In short: while many keep outbidding each other to sell you ever bigger promises, I want to tell you the truth, so that you can always make your decision with the full picture in mind. And sometimes that means you don't start with a purchase. Of course, I'm happy if you buy from me. But it's far more important to me that I can give you long-term value and truly help.
Marci
